FAQ

Do I need to be a runner?

No — you don’t need to be an experienced runner to have an OCHY gait analysis completed.

However, to obtain an accurate running gait assessment, you will need to be comfortable doing a short run during the video capture, either on the treadmill or overground.

What should I bring?

If possible, bring your current running shoes so we can assess wear patterns and discuss what has or hasn’t worked well for you previously.

Will I need to run on a treadmill?

Not at all.

While treadmill analysis is available, we understand some runners may not feel comfortable on a treadmill. Using OCHY technology, we can also complete your assessment overground/on the shop floor using a short running video capture.

How long does the appointment take?

Most appointments take approximately 20–30 minutes.

What can OCHY analyse?

OCHY can provide insight into:

*Running mechanics
*Pronation patterns
*Cadence
*Posture and alignment
*Stride efficiency
*Foot strike patterns
*Movement symmetry

This helps us recommend footwear that best suits your running style, comfort preferences and training goals.

Do I have to purchase shoes afterwards?

No — there is absolutely no pressure to purchase. However, if we find footwear that works well for you, you’ll be able to try recommended options in-store.
