The Altra FWD VIA 2 Women's – Black/White combines high cushioning, a low 4mm drop and rocker-shaped geometry in one of Altra's roomiest road-running platforms.

Designed for road running and walking, the FWD VIA 2 uses Altra EGO™ P35 cushioning to create a soft, responsive ride while its rocker geometry encourages a smooth transition through toe-off. 

The shoe uses Altra's Original FootShape™ fit, providing generous room through the toe box and additional space through the midfoot.

Altra EGO™ P35 cushioning

The updated P35 foam is designed to make the FWD VIA 2 feel lighter and more efficient while retaining the substantial cushioning expected from the model.

Altra states the new foam is 19% softer and 15% more responsive than the original FWD VIA midsole. 

4mm drop + rocker

The FWD VIA 2 uses a 4mm drop, giving you a small amount of heel-to-forefoot offset rather than Altra's traditional completely level platform.

Its rocker shape then helps encourage an efficient rolling transition through toe-off. 

Original FootShape™

Altra's Original FootShape™ is its roomiest FootShape profile, providing generous room through the toe box and space through the midfoot.

This makes the FWD VIA 2 particularly interesting for customers wanting a naturally spacious shoe without necessarily requiring a dedicated Wide-width model.
